BAHCE
The Lonely Planet guide endorses this humble restaurant at the Mui Wo ferry Pier on Lantau Island. The portions are sizeable so you get bulk for less. The restaurant itself is a square-shaped venue with a few tapestries on the walls. There are simple, rustic chairs and banquettes with Middle-Eastern looking woven accent pillows. There are also a couple of outdoor tables in the warmer months. Bahce has all the meze favorites like hummous babaganoush etc.. The flaky filo triangles with cheese and spinach are yummy. The lamb is amazing and there's alot of it. The chicken shawrma was a bit dry, but edible. They also have kebabs. Service is warm and friendly and at night the atmosphere is like a bar. If you've just finished hiking or a long day of sightseeing on Lantau, be sure to give yourself a bit of time to try this place out. It's one of the best restaurants by the ferry pier.
