SIMPLICITY CREPES

This cute crepe place on Wyndham Street overlooks Lan Kwai Fong and is the brainchild of the people behind FINDS. The restaurant is small but they maximized the bright venue by putting in space-saving Scandinavian inspired chairs and low leather banquette seating along the back corner.

Simplicity serves all kinds of savory and sweet crepes. Try the ham, egg and cheese crepe (the house cheese sauce is made with Parmesan Grana Padana in Bechamel sauce topped with grated French Emmental) or the Hong Kong crepe with Char Siu. Yumm! The savory crepes are not made with buckwheat as in the traditional French recipe. It's a more modern-style as opposed to tradtional. For dessert, we love the mango and berry crepe, the snickers crepe or the banana and nutella crepe. For the sweet crepes, they use freshly squeezed lemon juice, real milk, real Belgian chocolates and their home-made fruit & berry compotes.

It's a great place to come for breakfast, lunch, a quick dessert break in the afternoon, or when you're in a hurry and just need something quick to go. It's also perfect for late night munchies as an alternative to kebabs. They are licensed to sell alcohol so you can enjoy wine with your crepes or get in a casual drink before hitting Wyndham or LKF.

Everyday they have breakfast sets and lunch sets but what is most impressive is the 2 crepes deal for 22 dollars each during the weekdays. You get a savory crepe and a dessert crepe for the price of a meal at McDonalds! Each day features specific crepes on special.

We're not huge fans of their pressed sandwiches as the bread is a bit hard- just go for the crepes.

I visited the restaurant today for lunch with a friend. The food was terrible :

Mushroom soup - tastless, or say, too diluted

Chilli-Dog - no difference from the $10 hot dog at Ikea

Simpli Chicken Crepe - the crepe is cold, hard and tasteless, with only a few pieces of tasteless chicken meat inside, and no sauce.

Tea - I order Earl Grey tea but was served Jasmine.

Very disappointing.
