JOJO RESTAURANT

One of Hong Kong’s oldest Indian establishments, JoJo Restaurant used to be JoJo’s Mess Club on Johnston Street opposite the Wanchai sports ground. With a new location and a facelift that has lightened and brightened the interior with subtle creams and red highlights, the one thing that hasn’t changed is the food. JoJo is still a firm favourite with the expats with its crowd-pleasing curries and excellent naans. Try the delicious malai kofta (fresh cottage cheese mixed with potatoes and dried fruits, deep fried and cooked in a rich house sauce) or the sizzling king prawns. The menu is varied and extremely reasonable making JoJo’s an excellent spot to start a night in the ‘Chai. If you’re more of a Soho fan — get to Jashan, JoJo’s sister restaurant on Hollywood Road.
