CINECITTA

A restaurant named after a fabled film studio couldn’t have a more appropriate location than Star Street, and Cinecittà is certainly the prima donna of Hong Kong’s sexiest Italian eateries. Featuring modern Roman cuisine, Cinecittà boasts a striking glassed-in wine-cellar and centerpiece bar, while the restaurant itself is romantically lit — candles winking conspiratorially in all the right places. The ultimate date spot (far from the gaze of your acquaintances in SoHo), the food is sublime with special set menus frequently on offer celebrating the likes of Rodolfo Valentino, the great lover of Italian cinema. Just reading the menu will turn you on — agnoletti di vitello su salsa al castelmagno e pinoli tostati (ravioli stuffed with veal, in castelmagno sauce and toasted pine nuts) — and after a meal here even the most linguistically inept will be speaking the language of love.
