SAMMY’S KITCHEN

Sammy’s Kitchen is an old-school steak house established in the 70s. The retro décor remained virtually unchanged over the four decades. The place looks almost the same as Goldfinch Restaurant which appears in Wong Ka Wai’s In the Mood For Love, yet the food in Sammy’s is much cheaper. Their famous dishes are prepared by owner Sammy Yip who is former chef at The Peninsula and Mandarin Oriental. A set lunch is only $40 which includes a soup, a steak with fries and a coffee/tea. A set dinner is usually around $100 per person. It is definitely an excellent price for 5-star gourmet steak.
