GINGKO HOUSE

This French restaurant social-enterprise hires experienced 5-star chefs and waiters who are all at retirement age but refuse to let go their young mind and talents and want to continue contributing society. The orange-painted restaurant is small, warm and cozy. So remember to book a table.

The menu mostly features French cuisines. The Facaccia is very good to start the meal with. Uncle Gingko Pizza is a very healthy, non-oily dish made with salami, bell pepper and cherry tomato. Uncle Gingko Dessert is their signature dish – almost the most popular item of the house – baked Alaska topped with chocolate sauce lined with sponge cake and fruits. The place also serves more sophisticated main dishes such as Pan-fried red snapper fillet with black truffle cream sauce and Grilled New Zealand Sirloin Steak with Merlot Gravy.

Fine food is served by the amazingly friend waiters who are very professional (after all they have decades of experience) and at that age they are still detailed minded. Their warm welcome definitely makes the experience in Gingko unforgettable.
