ALI OLI BAKERY AND CAFE
With the success of the first Ali Oli cafe in Sai Kung, this premium local bakery decided it was time to expand to reach the market in Central. Their second shop on Caine Road has recently opened for business.
At this cozy yet spacious 2-story bakery and cafe, you can find signature fresh breads and pastries. They also serve a light breakfast, lunch and brunch. The offerings are listed on the daily menu which is charmingly written on the big blackboard behind the cashier. On Saturdays and Sundays, the place can get busy due to its reasonably priced brunch set.
Sitting at the table by the large front windows is laid-back and relaxing compared to the hustle and bustle of the traffic outside. When comes to choosing food, we stick to the classic items. We order an apple pie, a banoffie pie and, of course, some coffee for this late sunny afternoon. You can tell they use fresh ingredients and fine flours. The two sweet items taste are not too sugary and taste healthy. The banoffie is lighter than usual, not too creamy and just right. It's ideal for health-conscious chocolate fans.
We also order some some freshly baked bread to take away. Their Dark Rye Bread is quite uncommon in Hong Kong and darker than the usual brown breads you can get in City Super or Great.
Ali Oli is definitely a bakeries that aims at providing fresher and healthier bakery items for their customers.
