AGNES B CAFE

If you’ve had a long day of shopping in Causeway Bay and would like to find a stylish, comfortable venue to unwind and recharge, we highly recommend going to the Agnes B Café which is upstairs in the Agnes B retail shop in the Fashion walk area. It doesn’t even feel strange that the cafe is in a retail store as the shop itself feels like a little French village.

The café has European charm and faces a beautiful in-store flower shop. In a way the place feels very lovely, serene and feminine. There are black and white parquet floors, wooden bistro chairs with small round bistro tables. If you go to the private room in the back, there are also vintage 60’s chairs, couches and lighting fixtures that go very well with the black and white framed photos on the walls. There’s also great jazz, Edith Piaf, Spanish tunes or groovy spoken word music playing in the background.

Agnes B Café has snacks like sandwiches, quiches and soups (minestrone, clam chowder) and the food quality is much more gourmet than a chain shop like MIX or Pacific coffee. The coffees and teas are also decent.

If you are craving something sweet, you definitely should pop around the corner from the café and go to the new chocolate shop, Delices, which has recently opened. The chocolate is divine and has little pictures (like the Eiffel tower) or cute sayings like ‘be happy’ or ‘rock and roll’. The very friendly and helpful staff gave us a bunch of samples to try. I am not a huge chocolate lover but it was so good, I couldn’t help but buy some for myself. The packaging is so beautiful- it really makes a perfect present for a fashionable girlfriend on any occasion. It's what happens when fashion and chocolate collide!
