NHA TRANG

The long line outside Nha Trang near the Central escalator simply says it all – Nha Trang is just the best Vietnamese restaurant in town.

From Monday to Sunday, this place is always packed during lunch and dinner time. Waiting time usually takes at least 15 minutes, especially in the evening. So reserving a table is always a good idea. But if you are a spontaneous diner you can tell the waiter that you're going to come back in 30 minutes, then you can go somewhere, grab a beer and return in time to get a table. In addition, this would prepare you for the fabulous Vietnamese dishes awaiting you as well.

For first timers, the signature Pho Tai and the rice paper salad rolls would be the best choice. The rice paper salad rolls define what an appetizer should be - they are made with the freshest vegetables, herbs and other light ingredients that make them perfect as a started. Together with the side-serving sour sauce these rolls just make your want to eat more. As for the Pho Tai, the beef slices are so tender, the herbs so full of favor and the noodles so tasty that you'll be thinking about it for the next few days (as we unfortunately did).

Apart from those two recommendations, Nha Trang actually offers an extensive menu with other dishes made just as well. The stuffed chicken wings, curry and Saigon beer are also liked by many.

I've eaten at Nha Trang on Wellington twice and every time I go back for a tasty feed, the place is packed. The food is really good. Pretty decent seafood choice, quite big on the pork and beef selection.
