CHILLE GARDEN RESTAURANT
Chillie Garden is a family run restaurant located on King's Road, in an apartment block on the border of Fortress Hill and North Point. The minute you enter the restaurant, the cold air comes rushing out with the heavy spices of turmeric, cardamom, mustard seeds and curry leaves.
The servers are brother and sister and the cooks are mom and dad. The food truly is home style cooking with minimal use of ghee. Great appetizers and dishes to try are the Chili Pakora which is large green chillies lightly fried in a chick pea batter BUT not chili like most chillies, goes great with the raita sauce.
You'll find the usual suspects and if you like spicy food ask for the bloody mary. Its done Indian style and packs quite a punch. If you work in the area, and want something different for lunch, Chillie Garden has a good selection of set lunch options but be quick - this places gets busy fast during peack lunch hours.
