Oolaa has just opened on Bridges Street at the base of the swanky residential complex CentreStage. The stunning 6000 square foot space formerly housed a day spa but has now been reborn as a restaurant, bar, lounge and coffee shop all in one. There's even a wonderful alfresco terrace with wood decking.
Oolaa has an extensive menu and is serves mostly Western food, including pizzas from their wood fired pizza oven, with a little bit of Asian fare thrown in for good measure. Whilst this type of menu isn’t breaking any new ground in Hong Kong, it seems that the guys behind the hugely successful Wagyu and Jaspas have the right formula so we can expect this large and stunning venue to be hugely popular.
Expect Oolaa’s coffee lounge to be a Bridge Street’s weekend hangout for the CentreStage residents and neighbors to sip ground Illy coffee while enjoying some freshly baked pastries.
The “fine wine corner” is also of interest. The area is loungy and after the dinner shift, it gets more comfortable and casual with some soulful tunes.
