DOUBLE HAPPINESS CAFE
Double Happiness Cafe in Soho is a quaint 'hole in the wall' that seats approximately 14 people in total. And if you're really daring, make sure your feet are manicured, smell nice or your socks are hole-free and opt for the cushioned floor seating for a more intimate gathering amongst friends who love food.
This cute Chinese restaurant is decorated around the theme of 'Double Happiness,' with everything from candles and teapots to randomly-placed pictures of Hong Kong and ever funky decor sprucing up the interior.
In addition, they also serve up inexpensive MSG-free Shanghainese food for the more health conscious. For under HKD$300 you can get an appetizer for 2, 2 mains, a couple of drinks and dessert. And if you decide to go in large numbers, you can request to BYOB for a small corkage fee and they'll make sure your glass never stays empty. Very friendly service, kinda mom-and-pop mixed with the typical chaos of Chinese Dai Pai Dong. Yum!
