DG CAFE & CELLAR
DG Cafe & Wine Cellar is a newly opened restaurant/cafe in the historical 1881 complex which used to be the Former Marine Police Headquarters. Located in a Victorian colonial building steps from the Star Ferry, DG Cafe is divided into two parts. The front section is contemporary- featuring blonde woods and exposed brick walls. It blends surprisingly well with the historical surroundings. This space is ideal for a casual daytime meal. The other section is elegant and romantic featuring floor to ceiling glass windows. This section is great for a sophisticated English high-tea or for dinner. DG Cafe also has an alfresco area set in a relaxing atmosphere that is ideal for people watching.
The food in DG Cafe is primarily Italian but the menu also includes some Asian fare to cater to its cosmopolitan customers' taste. The cuisine at D&G is simple and casual. Try the homemade pizza which is very crispy, but not too oily nor heavy. The place has an extensive wine list and a variety of cocktails to choose from.
