AYUTHAIYA
This new Thai restaurant is right under the Midlevels escalator on Hollywood road. It has a chic interior with average Thai food. Come here more for drinks and dessert. The spring roll appetizer isn't bad either. Make sure you reserve a table towards the back for more privacy and show up on time otherwise they are known to give your table away. It's a small place.

I booked Ayuthaiya for a birthday celebration dinner. Reservation made a day and a half in advance and helpful member of staff said she had noted that it was a special occasion.
Arrived on time (7.45pm) to be greeted by the assistant Manager (Joe Ngan) who ushered us towards the bar and immediately offered us "comp" drinks. When asked where the table was he said there had been "an issue" and there were no tables available. When asked what the issue was he immediately blamed it on the most junior member of staff!! I then pressed him for when the table may be available - he merely said that they were busy and he didn't know. He offered "comp" drinks all night at this stage!
Whilst we were deciding where to go for dinner free appetisers began to arrive. Joe clearly thinks that bribery will solve his problems!! We left before 8.00pm and (sadly) will not be back.
