ARIRANG

Arirang is one of the original and best Korean restaurants in town. Their most popular dish is barbeque beef (particularly the double sized beef ribs-yumm!) but they offer popular dishes from all over Korea. Try the Jahb Che (Vermicelli noodles with julienned beef and vegetables) or the MaeWoon DdukBoggi (Spicy sliced rice cake with fish cake slices and vegetable) JeYook Kimchee (Spicy pork slices and kimchee) They also have Korean soups- (kimchee soup and femented soy soup). Or you can try the Korean 'pancakes' or 'pizzas'. They come in small and large sizes.

In addition to the a la carte menu, they offer lunch specials for 78hkd which is really a great deal. Like in Korea, lots of little side dishes come with your meal. This is different every time. There maybe sweet potatoes, various forms of tofu, garlic based spinach, sprouts and kimchee for example. These side dishes make great appetizers while you wait for your beef to cook.

The atmosphere at Arirang is clean, colorful and pleasant. There are round barbeque grills at each table and there are some wood partitions and Korean wall hangings. Though the place is quite large, it can be very busy, so it's best to reserve in advance.

For those unfamiliar with Korean food- this place has such a great variety of things. It would be a shame not to come with a big group of friends and share alot of dishes.
