THE BRIDGE
The Bridge claims that it’s open 24 hours. In the daylight and early evening, the shutters of the bar are open and the view faces directly onto Lockhart Road. It’s a good place to watch the girls galavanting around in their thigh-high boots- hoping to pull businessmen on their way home. When the hour gets late, really late, and God has forsaken the lost souls who find themselves stumbling drunkenly through Wanchai, The Bridge closes it’s shutters and anything and everything goes.
First of all, you never end up here at 8am unless you're on a complete bender- high on some mind-altering substance that has kept you awake for that long. The patrons in the bar like it dark. They don't really want to see anything nor be seen. They'd rather just feel around. It's a braille party.
One patron likened The Bridge to the Chalmun's Cantina, the bar in the first Star Wars movie which was on the planet of Tatooine. "There are fights breaking out everywhere, there are all these weird aliens with three eyes wandering around and everyone is zipping around wired on something." Wear your running shoes for a quick getaway in case you get into trouble!
