MC SORLEY'S ALE HOUSE
Irish pubs the world over are known for their friendly and inviting atmosphere. They are instantly recognized as a comfortable and unpretentious place to enjoy good food and drink, meet friends and watch their favourite sporting events.
Eclipse Management is opening SoHo’s first and only pub, McSorley’s Ale House, based loosely on the appeal of the original McSorley’s Ale House in lower Manhattan, NYC.
McSorley’s Ale House is situated in the Heart of SoHo on Elgin Street. The interior decoration of McSorley’s will be a mixture of Victorian Irish pub downstairs, with the feel of the old Chinnery Bar at the Mandarin upstairs.
You can’t miss McSorley’s with it’s huge façade and open front. There is great attention to detail in the woodwork and craftsmanship as well as in the fixtures and aims to delivery a premium pub experience.
The food is an integral part of the concept with a full pub menu serving a variety of pies, the best burgers in SoHo, hands down and the traditional Fish n’ Chips. We expect a brisk brunch business with an all day breakfast and a fine Sunday Roast, including Yorkshire puddings and lashings of gravy. Set lunches will be on offer every working day.
Perhaps the most obvious element to the concept is the drink list, and McSorley’s will carry an extensive range of premium products. From Guinness to a wide selection of ‘Real Ales’ – including the imported McSorley’s Ale, to the inclusion of a legendary whiskey collection. An extensive wine list will complement a full bar menu
Upstairs is perfect for private functions, corporate parties or to book for major sporting events. It even has it’s own private entrance, reminiscent of an old speakeasy in New York during prohibition.
McSorley’s plans to showcase a variety of sporting events on a multitude of screens throughout the pub. This will undoubtedly be one of the biggest attractions. They also have quiz nights on Tuesday.
