KILA

Kila is a contemporary Irish pub located on the busy corner of Pottinger and Wyndham Street. The brainchild of a couple of childhood friends from Ireland, Kila's owners wanted to create an atmosphere of a true corner pub that feels like a home away from home.

Kila offers a wide range of premium beers in both draught and bottle along with top shelf spirits, outstanding cocktails and great wines.

Music has always been the soul of Irish culture and Kíla plans to bring in artists for the occasional Sunday session, not to mention a jukebox which promises to be loaded with all the current and classic favourites. The bar will also show all major sporting events and will be showing all of the best games of the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Familiar with the phrase ‘Hair of the Dog’? Join the team on Sunday for their Sunday sessions where dog owners and their pets will be more than welcome. Kila will be offering all day happy hour for all those in need.

During the World Cup, Kila is launching a campaign to help charities. Buy a minute in each game that you think will be the winning goal for only $20 and not only will you stand the chance to win a bar tab at Kila but all proceeds rasied will be split between the Umbrella Foundation in Nepal and Po Leung Kuk Oprhanage in Hong Kong.
