SOHO CORNER
This hole in the wall dive bar on Staunton street has the down-to-earth feel of a neighborhood bar. Patrons come for the cold beer and the decent momos (Nepalese dumplings) They even let you play your Ipod sometimes.
The best thing about this place is not the decor but the view. The completely open façade gives you front row center views of everyone passing by Staunton Street. This is a superb place to people watch and to be seen especially given that it’s on the junction of two of Soho’s most popular nightlife streets. It’s popular on Sunday evenings, on weekend nights and whenever the weather is not wet.
This dive bar actually draws a pretty decent crowd. Local celebs have been seen slumming it here. Grab yourself a stool, a beer and just hang out as your friends stop by to say hi. You’ll find yourself lingering for longer than you expected.
