BUDDHA LOUNGE

The Buddha lounge has a mysterious allure even from the outside. There’s a big mural of a Buddha face at the entrace and futuristic looking Tibetan font as the logo. Sometimes there are people stumbling out of there at 9 am on a Saturday or Sunday morning and you can hear the music blaring from within the venue adding to it’s mystery- what the heck is going on in there anyway?
When you walk in, there’s a seating enclave with a small space to stand or dance. As you walk to the back the space narrows and opens back up to a few private seating areas in the back.
There’s a large bar with a prominent DJ booth just as you enter. The sound system is awesome and perhaps too big for the tiny space that it fills. Sometimes the music seems way too loud for such a small venue.
Aside from the fact that the bar is somewhat small, The colorful décor is really well-done and reminds one of a colorful high-end back-packer hangout somewhere in South-east Asia. There are times when the place is busy but more often than not, it’s not that crowded. We’re not really sure why.
