T:ME

T:IME is a new gay bar hidden in a dark alley next to Club 71. The place has sleek, minimal design with an industrial feel. At the front is a floor to ceiling glass door, making the place almost an open front bar.

Upon entering you'll see the bar on your right. Perch yourself on one of the high stools and watch the bartenders prepare their signature drinks. Opposite the bar is a place where you can stand and mingle with friends when the place is slightly packed. At the back of the bar are two tables with couches for more intimate conversations. Like Deja Vu, T:me is decorated with simple floral bouquets whose delicate warmth balances out the cold industrial feel of the venue.

The signature of T:me is its drinks. The place offers a fairly good selection of wines mostly from the New World and champagne to choose from but their signature cocktails are really what people should opt for. We tried their After Eighties, a mint chocolate martini drink which is very smooth and fresh. You can't really taste the alcohol because it's well mixed with the bitter-sweet flavor of the mint chocolate - but you can definitely feel it after a few sips. We also tried the Rose and Lychee Martini - a more fruity choice which is refreshing and perfect for summer time. They only have Guinness on the tap but we suppose the gays don't usually care.

We think its brilliant that T:ME is right next to the  bohemian hangout- Club 71- which is frequented by writers, artists, musicians and liberals. This crowd will definitely welcome the new gay venue and may even mix well with their new neighbors. It also solves the fag-hags' dilemma - on one hand they will want to hang out with their gay sisters and on the other they can't help crave for something straight. "T:me" totally solves the problem.

Fag-hags and the fab boys can enjoy a nice happy hour drink (30% off) in "T:me". As the night continues, they can window-shop in the two adjacent, yet completely distinctive markets. We expect the new location to be a new hot spot for pre-game acitivity on weekend nights.
