KOLOURS
Kolours is a new gay bar whose location used to be DYMK. In a nutshell, the place is kitsch, music unsurprising and drinks undrinkable.
This new venture hasn't changed much of its interior design since its handover. In fact, the ground floor which used to be Eden (restaurant) is exactly the same. As for the basement, it has much worse compared to DYMK. Gone are the classy, black fairy-like lightings and design, replaced are cheesy card board posters of pseudo-softcore-porno stars and almost non-existing lights - so dark that you can't even tell one's gender (is it intended to be that way?) At 12pm this Saturday, the place is filled by two tables and very soon I realize why. We order a round of drink, from the classic cocktails such as Bloody Mary, Tequila Sunrise and Mojito to the cannot-go-wrong champagne. None of the mixed drinks are drinkable. The Bloody Mary is so salty that I have to change it. After tasting the cough-syrup like Tequila Sunrise, I have to give up on any hope on my second Bloody Mary which also tastes like cough-syrup as predicted. I know most bars use puree instead of fresh fruits, but drinks here are just ridiculously disgusting. The champagne is tasteless. Worst of all, for the price of a drink there, you can get a mixology cocktail in FINDS.
Just because there are only very few gay bars and clubs in Hong Kong doesn't really mean Kolours can stay in business for bad drinks and cliched interior. All in all, I believe most people will not return once they have experienced a regular night there.

Mojito is one the best selling here i guess probably it taste like cough syrup... Every night people are drinking more mojito and wines at Kolours which means people are pretending that they are drinking for show off!!!!And also `TEQUILA SUNRISE` is just tequila and orange juice with a dash of grenadine , where ever u go it`s the same way of mixing. From my point of view there is no such thing like tequila sunrise taste horrible. It`s a classic cocktail which is amost the same every where. Talking about the price, i see a fairly reasonable $75 for a Mojito.
Dude, i m sure you r upset about something that makes you write this stupid thing here. I can only suggest u to go to 7 ELEVEN if you are looking for cheap drink but unfortunately, they don`t have mojito there.
Good luck, hope you can find a place where you can swing by for free or cheap Mojito which does not taste like cough syrop.
