VOLUME
A relaxing place located at Hollywood Road just above Noho where a lot of gay guys hang out for a chill night out during the week or getting prepared to hit “the club” (Propaganda) during weekends. It is especially popular on Wednesday for its free vodka drinks from 9 – 11 pm, dragging loads of pretty boys hanging out at the stairs outside the club. Volume also plays all kind of music besides the generic R&B/hip hop/house, from its signature electronic to 80s dance to even Danish gay pops, at times with complimentary music videos projected on a big screen next to the animal-painted sofas.

Volume is without a doubt the best queer venue in the city, mostly due to its super-friendly and welcoming crowd (which keep the sleaze to a minimum), world-class DJs (sorry Hiphongkong, but they rarely play RNB/Hiphop as you suggest) and free vodka Wednesdays. They even have their own in-house dance music record label which means you can pick up original souvineer CDs from the bar.
