BREATHE LESS FOR BETTER SEX
Unlucky in love? Did you know that HOW you breathe can directly affect your performance in bed? This may seem like an odd concept, but according to Jac Vidgen, an expert in a breathing reconditioning method called Buteyko, people who breathe with short, shallow and gentle breaths have better sex lives and more stamina in the bedroom. Oooooh I say!
Buteyko’s method of breathing reconditioning advocates the use of shorter, shallower breaths as opposed to the “deep-breathing”, which most of us have learnt from childhood. Deep-breathing can be dangerous as not enough oxygen gets into the body causing constriction of vessels and disturbances to the blood chemistry and metabolism. And guess what – having a healthy sex life depends on an effective oxygen supply to cells and naturally relaxed and dilated vessels, which can be achieved by optimal breathing.
As well as boosting your prowess in the bedroom, Buteyko can help to relieve breathing-related conditions such as asthma, allergies, rhinitis, sleep and anxiety disorders, bronchitis, emphysema and stress, as well as helping to control weight, improve the immune system and boost wellbeing.
Buteyko practitioner Jac Vidgen is in Hong Kong from 7th September holding free introductory lectures followed by workshops until 10th October 2009. For more information about the course and for a full schedule, please refer to: http://www.buteykoasia.com.
