ELEMENT x WILLIAM CHANG SUK PING "EAST MEETS WEST" EXHIBITION

With the first day of the Year of the Tiger and Valentine's Day falling on the same day this year, there’s plenty to celebrate on this occasion of double happiness. ELEMENTS, the luxury shopping mall atop Kowloon Station, is cloaked in a sea of peach blossoms to offer amazing photo ops that are an exhilarating blend of sumptuous romance and festive spirit. To top it off, special Lai See packets and an exquisite clutch bag, featuring an “East Meets West” pattern designed by legendary art director William Chang Suk Ping, are available for redemption.  
 

The image of the cheongsam-clad Maggie Cheung in the movie “In the Mood for Love” is forever etched in the memory of worldwide audiences, immortalizing William Chang Suk Ping's lush, nostalgic aesthetics. This year, ELEMENTS has invited this legendary film art director to create a pair of East meets West patterns for a set of exclusive lai see packets and a limited-edition clutch bag for shoppers’ redemption.  All lai see packets are printed with the phrase "East is West, Luck is Love". 

Using the same patterns and design concept, Chang has also created 10 unique items for an exhibition at ELEMENTS from now till Feb 28, 2010.  Traditional pieces such as qipao, Chinese screen, coffee table, chair and vase, as well as trendy items such as iPod cover, acrylic table and chair, table lamp and 10 golden tiger puppets costumed by William Chang with his design patterns Shoppers will be able to take part in a silent auction for the 10 golden tigers. Bidding will start a $500 each and all proceeds will go to UNICEF.
